This position is responsible for providing confidential, timely and effective administrative support to the Surgery Connect team.
Key responsibilities:
Input, update and retrieve data from the Surgery Connect database.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems, processes and policies relating to administrative functions.
Actively challenge the status quo of administrative support service provision with a view to enhancement through implementation of innovative business process improvement activities.
Undertake preparations for the payment of accounts including reconciliations, account coding, checking, and data entry and matching of supporting documentation.
Interpret and provide advice on contractual terms and pricing based on Surgery Connect Services Agreements, including management of non-listed procedures, and procedures outside the scope of the Surgery Connect Program.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of medical terminology used to deliver patient-centred activities would be highly regarded.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with database utilisation and patient management systems.
Experience, skills and knowledge of departmental financial and administrative processes, with a proven ability to actively participate in business improvement initiatives that deliver more efficient work practices.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a range of activities and projects with conflicting timeframes.
Provide general administrative support functions across the team that contributes to organisational goals and objectives.
Identify development opportunities and strive for continuous improvement and support risk and issue identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriate.
Other duties as required by the Accounts Supervisor or Manager, Surgery Connect.
