About the Role

As our Part-Time Payroll Officer, you'll play a key role in processing and maintaining accurate payroll records for our team, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing: Timely and accurate payroll processing for full-time, part-time, casual staff, and contractors.
  • Tax Compliance: Handle PAYG withholding, superannuation contributions, and other deductions in line with Australian tax laws.
  • Leave Management: Maintain leave balances and process requests including annual, personal, and public holidays.
  • Superannuation: Ensure accurate SG contributions and compliance.
  • Reporting: Generate payroll reports including payslips and summaries for stakeholders.
  • Employee Support: Respond to and resolve payroll-related queries efficiently.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Stay up to date with relevant legislation (Fair Work, Modern Awards, etc.).
  • Record Keeping: Securely maintain all payroll documentation.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide general support to the Payroll Manager as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Education: Certificate or qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll/tax legislation
    • Proficiency in payroll software
    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Excellent time management
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    • Team player with the ability to work independently

Working Hours & Location

  • Hours: Flexible part-time hours (approx. 16–24 hours per week). Days negotiable to suit the right candidate.
  • Location: Primarily based at our Silverwater office, with occasional work-from-Pemulwuy arrangements.
