We are currently seeking dedicated and safety-conscious Aerial Vegetation Workers (e.g. HV Workers / Climbing Arborists / EWP Operators) to join our team in the Perth Metro area.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vital role that includes some working in the vicinity of powerlines while ensuring both safety and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Awareness and Compliance: Actively maintain compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards, ensuring all tasks are completed in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. Ensure strict adherence to relevant Codes of Practice for personnel including electrical safety when working around live power lines.
- Health & Safety Responsibility: Take personal responsibility for your health and safety, as well as the well-being of your colleagues on site.
- Quality Assurance: Deliver work that meets contractual obligations, company standards, and customer expectations.
- Hazard Identification & Action: Proactively identify hazards and stop work if any uncontrolled risks are present, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
- Supervisor Support: Collaborate with supervisors to ensure all work meets high-quality standards and customer specifications.
- Professionalism & Housekeeping: Maintain a high level of professionalism in your work and appearance while ensuring that the site remains clean and organized.
- Pre-start Equipment Checks: Conduct thorough pre-start checks on all vehicles, machinery, and equipment to ensure safe operations on-site.
- Safety-Focused: You are highly aware of safety and electrical risks, with a commitment to following strict safety protocols.
- Detail-Oriented: You have an eye for detail and always ensure your work is completed to the highest standard.
- Proactive & Responsible: You take initiative when identifying and resolving safety issues, keeping the site secure for everyone.
- Team Player: You work well with supervisors and fellow workers to maintain high standards of performance and safety.
- First Aid / CPR Certification
- Construction White Card
- Cert II in ESI – Powerline Vegetation Control (UET20319)
- EDD – UETTDRRF08 / EWP Rescue – UETDRRF002
- Chainsaw Ticket
- Experience working near live power lines is advantageous.
- Arboriculture qualification or equivalent experience advantageous.
