The Forward Arming and Refuelling Point (FARP) Team Leader (FARP TL) is an operational non-flying support leadership role embedded within AAvnTC Operations and is responsible for the supervision of refuelling and arming of aircraft, maintenance and accounting of all GCAS equipment and vehicles. This roles is also responsible to conduct and supervise the accounting duties of FARP Operators. FARP TL may be Supply Customer Account (SCA) holders within AAvnTC. The FARP TL fulfils the duties of a Trade Supervisor and Hot Refuel Supervisor.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform Helicopter Operational and non operational refueling operations and tasking in both deployed and domestic areas of operations.
- Conduct FQC sampling and testing procedures in accordance with Requirements relevant policies and procedures.
- Conduct calibration and testing of refueling equipment
- Conduct hot and cold refueling operations on UH-60M.
- Complete documentation related to refueling aircraft.
- Apply precautions and required action to minimise, control or eliminate hazards that may exist when refueling aircraft.
- Carry out operator maintenance and perform technical inspections on military refueling assets and Support and Test Equipment (ST&E).
- Conduct WH&S oversight. Observe health and safety precautions relevant to aviation fuels during the storage, testing and distribution.
About you:
To be successful you will demonstrate the following:
- Attained a Certificate III in Field Petroleum Operations.
- Substantial knowledge and understanding of the requirements of one or more of the following regulatory frameworks: AMO, CASA, EASA and/ or FAA.
- Substantial experience in Hot and Cold refueling of helicopters.
- Substantial technical knowledge and experience on the aircraft project type.
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
