About the Role
As an Allied Health Assistant (AHA), you’ll be an essential part of a passionate and supportive team, working under the direction of allied health professionals to assist in delivering high-quality care to patients across the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). Your role will focus on supporting clinical service delivery in the spinal rehabilitation unit based at the Repat Health Precinct. By helping implement therapy programs, preparing equipment, and supporting patient engagement, you’ll directly contribute to better health outcomes and more efficient care.
This diverse and hands-on role offers the opportunity to work across multiple CALHN sites, including the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, the Repat Health Precinct, Glenside Health Services, and various community-based services. Your contribution will help ensure allied health services run smoothly, safely, and professionally – making a meaningful impact every day.
About You
You're a motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting people through their health journey. With a solid foundation in allied health assistance and a genuine commitment to patient care, you’re ready to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) with relevant experience in therapeutic or caregiving roles.
Demonstrate strong clinical awareness, including recognising patient changes and responding appropriately with AHP guidance.
Possess physical capability, initiative, reliability, and strong communication skills for safe, effective patient care and teamwork.
Confident in managing workload independently, maintaining confidentiality, and using computer systems for documentation and communication.
