About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitably experienced Allied Health Assistant to assist the implementation of the SPICE at Home pilot program for 12 months commencing October 2025. The position available is part time and the successful applicant will work 4 days a week or equivalent hours across 5 days.
This position will be supporting the implementation of the SPICE at Home pilot study, between October 2025 and October 2026 which is being delivered as a collaboration between the Rehabilitation, Community and Aged Care Service (RACS) of Canberra Health Services (CHS) and University of Canberra (UC). The successful applicant will be providing tailored interventions in the home environment to people with dementia. Interventions will be developed by the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist and will be aimed at maximizing independence and meaningful engagement.
This position will be based at University of Canberra Hospital as part of the Brindabella Day and Ambulatory Rehabilitation service.
This position will be suitable for an experienced AHA who meets the criteria of an AHA3; this is necessary due to the level of autonomy and specific skills required in this role.

Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.

Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
