THE ROLE
We are seeking a friendly, professional and organised Allied Health Receptionist to join our growing Allied Health team. This casual role will be based primarily at the Marion Leisure & Fitness Centre, providing essential front-line support to clients and health professionals.
The position will involve approximately 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility to cover additional shifts during periods of leave or increased demand.
You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring their experience reflects the YMCA’s culture of genuine care. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage bookings for multiple clinicians across several locations using practice management software (e.g., Cliniko).
- Process payments and invoices for various funding types, including Medicare, DVA, NDIS, RTWSA, CTP and private billing.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Provide administrative support to Allied Health clinicians as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients, clinicians, YMCA centre staff and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception area.
- Evening and weekend work is not required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will also have or be willing to obtain:
- National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months)
- DHS Working With Children Check
- (HLTAID009) Provide CPR or equivalent
