YOUR NEXT ROLE
Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity! We are currently seeking internal and external expressions of interest for an Apprentice Wood Machinist to join our team.
The Apprentice Wood Machinist’s will be trained in our machines to ensure they are running to their optimum capabilities through effective setting up and calibration of equipment. Optimum performance and efficiencies of equipment are achieved through trouble shooting and continuous improvement. As an Apprentice Wood Machinist you will be required to complete on the job training and completing an approved course of formal training though a registered training provider such as TAFE.

A ‘be of service’ attitude and operating manner is shown in everything that you are involved in to support quality working relationships and deliverables.
Learn to safely operate all equipment in the Wood Machinist work area.
Develop the necessary skills in grinding, sharpening and ordering techniques to maintain machinist tools, tooling, sawing and grinding equipment.
Gain knowledge in preventative maintenance, scheduling, and workplace housekeeping.
Develop strong technical knowledge and skills over time.
ABOUT YOU:
Dedication to completing a Cert III in Wood Machining and willingness to undertake structured on-the-job training over 3-4 years.
Completion of Year 10 with a C grade or higher in Math and English, or equivalent skills in mathematics or mechanical tasks.
Reliable, safety-conscious and a strong team player.
Ability to work flexible hours and attend external training as required.
Ready to build a long-term career and contribute to a dynamic production team.
