We are currently expanding our team and are seeking an Arabic-speaking Support Worker to join us in Olympic Park.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a caring and reliable Arabic-speaking Support Worker to provide personal care and daily living assistance to clients, many of whom are Arabic-speaking. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping others, with a background in aged care, disability support, or community services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with mobility and transportation as needed
- Maintain accurate care records and report changes in clients' conditions
Requirements:
- Fluent in Arabic (essential)
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous experience in personal care or a similar support role
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, compassionate, and culturally sensitive
- Promote independence and dignity in all aspects of care
- Communicate effectively in Arabic and English with clients and their families
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license (desirable but not required)
