The Seymour Centre is offering a unique opportunity for an Archivist to make their mark in preserving and celebrating our rich artistic heritage.
In this exciting new role, you’ll delve into the past—sorting through old photographs of our very first performers, reading notes left behind by actors, and weaving together the history that makes the Seymour Centre a cornerstone of the arts. About you
- previous experience in a similar role and has established databases showcasing archival principles and best practices
- ability to create, organise and manage archival records efficiently
- self-motivated and proactive in preserving and cataloging historical materials
- understanding of relevant legislative requirements, standards and current recordkeeping practices, including the NSW State Records Act 1998 and the Australian Standard on Records Management (AS ISO 15489)
- proficiency using Excel.
