About the Role:
Working under the direction of Registered Nurses, the Assistant in Nursing (AIN) provides designated core duties assisting patients with activities of daily living and observing people with behavioural risks in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional health care.
The All Care Discharge Lounge (ACDL) has both beds and chairs available to patient, allowing full care patients to be accommodated in the discharge lounge while awaiting transfer or discharge.
The core priorities of the discharge spaces within the ACDL are to facilitate safe and efficient discharge / transfer of patients from most divisions within CHS. This provides accesses to admit acutely unwell patients from internal and external admission points.
The discharge lounge is operational between 0700 hours to 2130 hours Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. The successful applicant will be required to work both morning and evening shifts.
