This position is available for individuals who are seeking a job as an AIN. You are required to travel and work in the Northern Beaches area. The AIN is required to work under the direction of a registered nurse. This may include various different supports to maximise and support for participants' capacity for daily living and their goals and needs.
All prospective employees are required to provide the following documentation:
- Cert III or Cert IV Individual Support/ Ageing Support / community service (or equivalent)
- 2nd/ 3rd year undergraduate in bachelor of nursing (enrolment letter)
- National Police/Criminal Check issued within 6 months
- Right to work in Australia by Nationality/Citizenship/Residency/Work Visa 100 points of photographic proof of identity (eg: passport, birth certificate, Australian issued drivers license, current student identification card)
- Infection control and hand hygiene training certificates
- First Aid and BLS certificate (current within 1 year)
- Competency in manual handling
- Immunisation Record with influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations
- Two professional reference
Some key points for your role are as below:
- Excellent customer service and nursing/care skills Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Provide and/or assist participants with personal care (assistance with toileting, meal preparation, showering and sponging etc.)
- Apply behaviour support plan into practice and daily routines. Support participants with challenging behaviours.
- Support participant-centred approach when providing care. Support to access the community, cognitive support and mentoring.
- Protect and respect the privacy, confidentiality and rights of participants.
- Maintain a professional attitude and boundaries.
- Adhere to the given roster and policies Support other support workers Additional knowledge/qualifications in other aged care related fields, (e.g., dementia care, continence) is desirable

Salary rate $28.6 per hour plus night shift loading and weekend penalty
