About the Role
BDO’s Audit practice is a major player within the local marketplace, auditing many of Australia’s leading public and private sector organisations across a diverse industry base. Our thriving audit practice works with and provides services to some of the most exciting, established, and emerging companies. We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our Brisbane Audit team . Some of the key duties & responsibilities would include:
Execute and manage audits of listed company, large private company and not-for profit clients ranging in size and industry
Monitor and allocate resources effectively throughout duration of an audit engagement
Identify audit and engagement risks and contribute to the design of an appropriate audit approach for each assignment Work closely with engagement partners in identifying potential problem areas or budget difficulties
Awareness of reporting and regulatory requirements across a variety of frameworks
Analysis and documentation of internal controls and control environments
Draft management letters and completion reports
Complete performance reviews and identify training needs
Liaise with clients and identify future opportunities
About You
5+ years external audit experience in a professional services firm
CA/CPA qualification
Thorough understanding of all financial statement areas
Ability to identify potential risks of material misstatement and design audit tests to mitigate those risks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Experience in reviewing General Purpose accounts, included listed entities
Ability to identify scope and solve problems
Experience and passion in leading and developing teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and an in depth understanding of Audit software
Competitive salary based on level of experience: starting from $109,000, inclusive of super.
