About the role:
Ready to make waves? Join our team as an Attractions Host at Raging Waters Sydney!What you’ll do:
Greet guests with a friendly, engaging vibe.
Deliver exceptional customer service from our slides, queues, and the pool deck.
Respond clearly and helpfully to ride-related questions.
Screen guests for ride safety (height, weight, rider combinations).
Support safe and smooth ride operations, dispatch, and unload.
Manage express lines to ensure a quality experience.
What we’re looking for:
Age 18+ (required for safety compliance).
Weekday availability (with flexibility for additional shifts during peak periods).
Strong communication skills—confident, clear, and approachable.
A genuine desire to help and delight our guests.
Ability to complete in house CPR/AED and Standard First Aid training (provided FREE).

Roles & Responsibilities:
Positive interactions with guests to ensure that they receive quality service- Tactfully dealing with guests who do not meet ride restrictions
- Provide a safe and fun environment for guests
- Operate various attractions throughout the park in a safe manner
- To know and enforce all Raging Waters Sydney policies relating to service delivery
- Supervise Attractions at all times and ensure all policies and procedures are being followed
- To adhere to Ellis & Associates Standards and Guidelines
- Recognise problems and make decisions to help resolve the problem. Effectively communicate serious nature problems to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager
- Administering CPR or other emergency care whenever required
- Report any faults that arise during the day. Monitor the technical equipment for any machinery failure and maintenance required
- Assist in the development, implementation, delivery and review of policy and procedures that ensure Raging Waters Sydney meets its various obligations including financial, workplace health and safety, industry and legal requirements
- To carry out all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Team Leaders, Operations Supervisor, Operations Manager or member of the Management Team
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS):
- Follow and comply with Work Health Safety policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Correctly use all safety and personal protective equipment
- Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.
- Report WHS incidents, injuries and safety activities to your direct Manager and First Aid at the time it occurs.
- Promote proactive hazard/ near miss reporting. Report any hazards or near-miss incidents to your direct Manager and the People & Culture Director.
- Attend Work Group Meetings to discuss and promote safety.
Education:
Essential
- Ellis & Associates Health Care Provider Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid (provided through Raging Waters Sydney)
- Attractions Essentials Training (provided through Raging Waters Sydney)
- Current Working with Children Check
Desirable
- Manual Handling Training
- Conflict Resolution Training
Languages: Fluent English

Experience:
Desirable
- Experience working within a water park environment
- Experience working in the Aquatics Industry

- You are required to have a high level of physical fitness, stamina and be physically fit.

Pay Conditions:
This is a casual position until April with the ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays during the season.
The hourly rates are in accordance with the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award. Aquatic Attendants aged 20 years or older, are paid at a Grade 2 hourly rate of $28.46 per hour (includes casual loading).
- Different rates apply for applicants 19 years of age and under
- Penalty rates apply for Sundays and Public Holidays.

Additional Information:
