About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated Behavioral Support Practitioner to join our team on a subcontract basis (2-3 days per week). This role is perfect for freshers who are registered with the NDIS and passionate about providing high-quality behavioral support to individuals with disabilities.
As a Behavioral Support Practitioner, you will work directly with clients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized behavior support plans that improve client outcomes and enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Behavioral Assessments & Plans: Conduct assessments to identify causes of challenging behaviors and create tailored behavior support plans.
- Client & Family Support: Collaborate with clients, families, and support workers to ensure consistency and effectiveness in behavioral interventions.
- Progress Monitoring: Track the success of interventions, making adjustments as needed to meet client goals. Maintain accurate documentation in line with NDIS standards.
- Training: Provide training to families and support staff on implementing behavioral strategies.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
- NDIS Behavioral Support Practitioner registration .
- Passion for working with individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) techniques.
- Familiarity with NDIS frameworks and processes.
- Previous experience working in a clinical or disability support setting .
