About the Role
As the Business Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in managing the delivery of a wide range of corporate services to support both educational and operational priorities. You will contribute to systemic change by working closely with the school leadership team and wider school community, ensuring high-quality support across administrative, financial, and human resource functions. This includes supervising school support staff and guiding stakeholders on complex and sensitive matters. This position is based at Toowong State School within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS) - a statewide, borderless service - supporting students and staff across Queensland.
Your Responsibilities
As the Business Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide a comprehensive range of administrative support (e.g. preparation of reports, and correspondence, timesheets, Employee Assistance Funds) and identify problems, conduct research, seek expert advice, recommend solutions.
Monitor and provide advice around finance and procurement matters
Working with external organisations relating to the Deaf community
Experience working with Deaf people and some sign language skills would be desirable
