About the role
With recent natural disasters, flooding and extensive vegetation clearing, there's a surge of upcoming work in the Taree region. Now is the perfect time to join our team and make a meaningful impact while working in the incredible Taree and Forster region.
As a Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for the general construction, installation, connection, maintenance and repair of both high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) distribution network assets and equipment with particular emphasis on those components directly related to the underground network.

About You
- Application of knowledge required to undertake the Cable Jointer role in an energy distribution environment
- Experience working effectively during times of both planned and unplanned events
- Participating and applying audits and safety processes
- Knowledge of relevant system switching, access procedure principles, tools, plant and equipment
- Complying and implementing enterprise WHS and environmental procedures and processes.
- Application of Cable Jointer trade skills in an energy distribution environment
- Ability to work closely with others in a team environment
- Able to successfully liaise with stakeholders and customers
- Computer skills appropriate for the role.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing with electives in Install, Maintain, Fault Find, Switching and repair or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
- Drivers licence
- WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate
- Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business.
