About the Role
We are seeking recent graduates or candidates with entry-level experience to join our Laverton North team as a Calibration Laboratory Technician.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, compliant, and efficient operation of our gas calibration laboratory in alignment with ISO 17025 standards and regulatory requirements.
You will play a key part in maintaining quality, safety, and reliability across all laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
As our Calibration Laboratory Technician, you will:
- Perform gas laboratory measurements, reporting, and documentation in compliance with ISO 17025 and legal regulations.
- Coordinate calibration of laboratory and production equipment, including issuing certificates of conformance.
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming products, equipment, or materials.
- Investigate the root causes of testing, calibration, or quality issues by identifying and evaluating operational risks, implementing corrective actions, and mitigating future occurrences.
- Compile and report test results and statistics in a timely manner.
- Support daily operations, documentation, and duty coordination.
- Assist with external audits and maintain internal audit systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and functional laboratory environment.
About You
- Entry-level experience in a similar role within a calibration and testing laboratory.
- Proven experience in issuing measurement and test reports.
- Strong background in quality standards and best practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional collaboration.
- High level of motivation, “can-do” attitude and attention to detail.
- Diploma qualification in Engineering or an equivalent field (preferred).
- Commitment to onsite attendance: 5-day in-office workweek.
