We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and purpose-driven Therapeutic Case Manager to champion the wellbeing of children and young people in our foster care program. As a Therapeutic Case Manager, you will support and stand beside children and young people who have experienced significant trauma, walking with them through some of life’s most challenging moments. You will work within a deeply supportive, trauma-informed team that believes in healing, resilience, and the power of human connection. Every care plan you shape, every carer you support, and every transition you guide has the potential to change a lives forever. What You’ll Do:
- Provide specialist case management to children and young people with complex needs.
- Co-create therapeutic care plans with carers, Therapeutic Specialists & multi-disciplinary teams.
- Lead transitions with empathy and focus on long-term stability and permanency.
- Support, guide, and reflect with foster carers managing high-needs cases.
- Drive cultural safety and inclusivity for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and CALD children.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to service development, continuous practice improvement, and reporting.
What You Bring:
- A heart for trauma-informed, child-centred work.
- Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work or similar.
- Experience working with children, carers, and families in complex care environments.
- Strong understanding of child protection, therapeutic models, and cultural competence.
This is a Permanent Part-time 22.5 hours (3 days) per week opportunity based in our Loddon (Bendigo) program.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications.
- Professional casework skills, including knowledge of LAC and CIRSSP/CRIS.
- Sound professional knowledge and theory base.
- Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff, and other stakeholders, as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.

- Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
