About Orange Regional Gallery
Orange Regional Gallery is a centre for art in the Central West of New South Wales, Australia.
Artists and our audiences are at the centre of everything we do at Orange Regional Gallery. We support artists to produce new and innovative works and assist our audiences to have a meaningful connection to the art they produce.
Alongside our Exhibition and Education Programs, we care for an established and rapidly growing Permanent Collection of modern and contemporary art from Australia and abroad.
About the role
Working closely with Gallery Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Welcoming visitors to the Gallery and informing them about current exhibitions, events and collections and providing information about facilities.
- Undertaking administration duties and managing sales
- Maintaining Gallery reception area and exhibition spaces over the weekends
- Compiling and recording visitor attendance levels and other relevant information
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving heavy items, in accordance with safe manual handling practices
- Other administrative duties as required.
So what do you need?
- An interest in, and knowledge of Visual Arts desirable
- Previous work experience in retail or a customer service environment
- High level communication skills both verbal and written including the capacity to interact with all levels of staff and the public while maintaining effective customer service and relationship management.
Desirable:
- Current RSA or ability to obtain.
