Job Title: Certification Manager (Benchmark – Construction Industry)
Location: APAC (home based)
- Here at BSI we have a new position for a Certification Manager to join us and manage the development, implementation and future business activities in relation to the Benchmark Certification Scheme for Construction Products.
- You'll provide technical expertise on a wide range of services but focused on construction products, mainly on structural wood and steel products certification.
- You will support our clients through the certification process (based on ISO 17065) gathering the required technical information and verifying that BSI has all the required information to support the certification of the client’s products. Work with sales and marketing teams to develop the certification offering and grow the business.
- Work to improve the client offering and add value to the certification services seeking improvements and efficiencies.
- You'll also need to develop and maintain excellent relationships with current and potential clients including exhibiting at customer events to support business development and marketing.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Competencies :
- In-depth knowledge of construction products either in certification, manufacture or use.
- Commercial and Business Awareness of construction products market and market access requirements both regulatory and voluntary.
- Focused with attention to detail and able to follow rigorous processes supporting the certification of products. Familiarity with standards and the products, practices and industries where they are used.
- Proven communicator with Training and Presentation skills particularly in a technically complex field.
- Able to communicate with and guide clients through the required processes and technical milestones to achieve certification.

- Ensuring that the business complies with the processes for maintaining robust certification decisions in line with accreditation requirements.
- Ensuring that appropriate representation is achieved at the relevant product related forums.
- Effective and timely delivery of client projects.
- Effective and timely workflow management.
- Effective and timely SMO management.
- Effective and timely client issue resolution.
- Timely certificate issue.
- Accurate reporting.
- Effective succession planning initiatives in place to ensure effective knowledge transfer and business continuity.
