Job Description
Join our team as a Chemist and play a key role in delivering high-quality, timely analysis of soil, water, and air, helping us maintain our reputation for environmental excellence.
- Permanent full-time role
- Based in Perth Airport, WA
- Salary $75K - $78K per annum
Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine preparation and analysis of soil and water samples with minimal supervision
- Prepare working standards and solutions per documented methods
- Operate and troubleshoot instruments, ensuring calibration and maintenance are up to date
- Prioritise and monitor work to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Maintain lab cleanliness, follow safety protocols, and report hazards promptly
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC, NATA, and SGS quality systems
- Support method development and continuous improvement
- Work towards becoming a NATA signatory
Qualifications
To be successful, you will have:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification (desirable) or, at minimum, relevant TAFE certificates
- Proven experience in an environmental laboratory, with a preference for VOC analysis using a GC Purge and Trap instrument
- Flexibility in working hours and tasks
- Willingness to work some weekends and occasional overtime
