Assistant Educator (Certificate III) – Glen Iris, VIC
Malvern Day Nursery is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Educator (Certificate III) to join our dynamic team in Glen Iris. This is a part-time position with flexible work arrangements, designed to support a healthy work-life balance.
About the Role
As an Assistant Educator, you will:
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging educational programs for children aged 0–5 years
- Provide a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment to support children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Work closely with Lead Educators to observe, assess, and document children’s learning progress
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across the nursery
- Actively participate in team meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement activities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent, or working towards)
- Previous experience in a childcare or early learning setting (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and supporting young children’s development
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the nursery
- A current Working With Children Check, Child Protection Training, and First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
