We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Certificate III Educator who would like to further their career by studying a diploma traineeship or already has obtained a diploma in children's services to join our welcoming, dedicated and professional team at Children’s Village Toongabbie, a 71 place centre walking distance from Toongabbie Station and Shops. Children’s Village is a family run business that has been operating since 2008. Children’s Village currently has four centres in Sydney’s West. You will be required to support the team and facilitate the growth of our educational standards. At Children’s Village we provide highest quality care and educational standards. Our philosophy and practices are strongly influenced by Reggio Emilia.
Our centre is open from 7:00am-6:00pm, this position is open to certificate III applicants ready to extend their career by engaging in a diploma traineeship whilst working.
We are currently looking for a dedicated, reliable diploma trained (or willing to obtain) educator who can work a shift between the timings of 6:45am-6:15pm

Skills and experience required
We are looking for someone for an immediate start. The following criteria apply
- Already Hold a Certificate III (recognised by ACECQA)/Diploma
- Be willing to undertake diploma study
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An understanding of National Quality Framework and Regulations
- An understanding and ability to use the Early Years Learning Framework
- Have experience writing observations/programs for children
- A current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis (or willing to obtain)
- A genuine desire to work with young children
- An ability to work as part of a team
- experience or willingness to document children's learning in an aesthetically pleasing and meaningful way
- Be aware and able to implement play based learning approaches
- Be available from 6.45am-6:15pm and be flexible to work longer if needed
