Smart Cookies Early Learning Centre is a family owned and operated service with almost 10 years’ experience in the industry. We are passionate about delivering high quality education guided by the Early Years Framework & National Quality Standards catering for children aged 6months to 6 years to ensure that individual development is being catered for, encouraged & enhanced. At Smart Cookies we base our indoor & outdoor curriculum around children’s interest and family input with the theory that the environment is a third teacher. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to learn in a happy, safe, stimulating & inclusive environment that supports children’s agency & enhances their learning. We are looking for a motivated and passionate room leader to join our wonderful team in our new and exciting Liverpool location.

About the Role:
-Create a friendly, stimulating and interactive learning environment
-Facilitate & lead the learning experiences for your allocated room
-Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs
-Complete observations and portfolios for children in your allocated room
-Maintain effective communication with parents throughout the service
-Create & maintain positive working relationships with all team members
-Contribute to and implement a Quality Improvement Plan
-Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
The successful candidate will ideally have:
-Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent)
-Good knowledge of the NQS & EYLF including Assessment & Rating
-Current Working with Children Check
-Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
-Completed Child Protection Training
-Ability to lead & work as part of a cohesive and supportive team environment, nurturing authentic connections with children & families
-Excellent written & verbal communication skills
-Good time management skills and able to work with minimum supervision using own initiatives
-Previous experience in a similar role
