About the role

Sydney is a vibrant, dynamic and accessible city with a diverse population, a rich history, world famous tourist attractions and an exciting calendar of events.

Our Cleansing Operations team pride ourselves on keeping the City’s roads, footpaths and laneways clean and tidy. As a Cleansing Crew Operator, you will be operating and driving our heavier vehicles to ensure Sydney is kept clean and tidy.

  • Hold current Heavy Vehicle (HR) driver’s licence.
  • Be physically fit and able.
  • Be available to work weekday shifts, some weekends, and public holidays.
  • Have a proven clean driving record.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed.
  • Experience in waste removal preferred.

The successful candidate should have previous experience in the safe operation and maintenance of plant and Street Sweepers.

This role has the option of a rostered day off every two weeks, known as a 9-day fortnight.

The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration and medical assessment.

Applications must be submitted online by 11:59pm, Wednesday 03 September 2025.

For more information, contact Jason Tune, City Cleansing Operations Manager on 02 9265 9347.
