At HMPS Propac, we are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Workshop team at our Seven Hills, Sydney location. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a vital role in the production process within the Propac brand, contributing to the manufacturing of high-quality products. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and development.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements
- Monitor the performance of machinery to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards of production
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns effectively
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
**Skills and Experience: **
- Trade qualified with proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role
- Proficiency in programming, operating and maintaining various workshop machinery and tools
- Willingness to engage in manual mill and lathe activities in CNC machine operating and down time
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of different materials and their machining requirements
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards in a workshop environment
- Strong attention to detail and precision in executing machining tasks
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with machinery
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Adherence to health and safety regulations in a workshop setting
