Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, conduct and finalise Defence strategic procurement activities within the CASG environment as a member of the Commercial team.
- Author and review complex strategic procurement and contracting
- documentation using the ASDEFCON suite that complies with relevantlegislative, policy and regulatory frameworks and Defence quality standards including the PGPA Act, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, Defence Procurement Policy Manual.
- Provide commercial advice in relation to commercially sensitive reports,
- submissions, and other documents as required.
- Analyse, identify and develop mitigation strategies for the risks associated with procurement and contracting activities, contract performance, and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
- Translate and apply legal principles, legislative and policy compliance
- obligations, commercial risk and performance requirements related to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Coordinate and provide procurement advice, assistance, products and
- services to facilitate risk management, ethics and probity.
- For discrete tasking, be able to lead a multi-disciplinary team and be
- accountable to set work priorities and workflows for required work packages.

About You:
- Relevant qualifications in Law, Business, Commerce, Finance, Contract
- Management and/or Procurement.
- More than 8 years experience in Commercial Management or Contract
- Management.
- A current security clearance (minimum NV1).
- Experience authoring and reviewing complex strategic procurement and
- contracting documentation using the ASDEFCON suite.
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian Government procurement
- processes and procedures.
- Very strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in a Defence CASG project environment.
- Experience with Foreign Military Sales procurement processes and activities.
- Comprehensive understanding of Defence processes and structure.
- Comprehensive understanding of the One Defence Capability System
- (formerly the Capability Life Cycle).
- Experience with procurement in a highly technical ICT/communications
- system context.
