  • Competitive Salary package plus 14.75% Super for a 10-day, 80 hour, working fortnight

The opportunity:


As the Construction Manager you will lead the delivery of the Transmission Lines and Substation components of significant energy future focussed projects.


You will be responsible for the successful planning and management of high quality, customer focused, construction delivery across critical HV transmission lines and substation infrastructure construction projects.


To support the on-site construction activities you will need to be prepared to, initially, regularly travel to regional QLD construction sites and be based at a regional construction site and roster during the construction execution phase.


Vehicle, transport and accommodation solutions will be provided as part of your site requirements.

The people you'll join:


You will be part of a dedicated major project delivery team and reporting to the Project Delivery Director in our Major Projects Division working hand in hand with our engineering and project delivery teams and tier-1 construction partners to support the successful delivery of critical and complex customer focussed HV transmission lines focussed projects.


You will initially be working from our Bowen Hills Major Projects office in Brisbane but in time move to a regional Central Queensland construction site for the duration of the construction execution phase.

What you'll bring:


You have gained your professional experience in overseeing the construction of multiple high voltage transmission lines and substation projects, with responsibility for:


  • On-site construction activities, in particular with relevant experience in HV Transmission lines projects
  • Outage and network access management
  • Contractor management
  • Quality management
  • HSE experience
  • Landholder & Stakeholder experience and
  • Material co-ordination


Some of your key attributes would be:


  • Strong time management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Tenacity and initiative to work through complex construction activities and issues focussed on optimised and efficient delivery.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, achieving success through your broad collaboration, consultation, negotiation and influencing skills


Qualifications:


Electrical Trade and/or Electrical Engineering tertiary qualifications coupled with significant experience in leading the construction of HV Assets.
