Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Consumer Editor to join our team. In this role, you will lead a high-performing Advice Content Team, delivering quality content to brief and timeline in a fast-paced setting. Reporting to the Director of Content, you will be a seasoned journalist with a keen interest in the automotive industry, leveraging your expertise to maintain high standards of quality and credibility.
Day to day you will:
- Manage and lead a high-performance Advice team to deliver quality content on deadline.
- Act as a content innovator, generating ideas for breaking, insight, and trending Advice content.
- Analyse audience and engagement data to inform content creation.
- Create and deliver accurate and timely written, video, audio, and photographic content.
- Provide clear, direct, and timely feedback to journalists.
- Implement cutting-edge search engine optimisation (SEO) strategies to maximise content visibility.
- Work with Publishing and Marketing teams to maximize content engagement opportunities.
- Ensure all news content complies with legal and ethical regulations.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in mainstream journalism with an interest in automotive.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent research and fact-checking skills.
- Strong networking skills, internal and external.
- Extensive experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and SEO best practices.
- Proven organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Full drivers license.
