Job Description
The role will be responsible for operationalising the Controls Assurance function within Endeavour’s Data & AI (D&Ai) function and the broader enterprise. It requires an individual who can drive effective and efficient governance and risk management across several data-related areas within the organisation.
This role will be responsible for testing controls recommended through Privacy Impact Assessments (through PIAs), Responsible Use of Data Assessments, Platforms & Data Governance standards, and ensuring that these have been implemented and are functioning as desired. This role will also contribute to shaping the governance frameworks, lead risk assessments, assist in compliance initiatives, and ensure continuous improvement in our controls posture.
Responsibilities:
Controls Assessment & Testing
Execute controls testing procedures across privacy, data governance, platform operations, responsible use of data, and AI governance frameworks.
Perform regular control effectiveness assessments and document findings
Identify control deficiencies and work with process owners to develop remediation plans
Monitor control performance through key risk indicators and metrics
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain comprehensive documentation of control environments and testing procedures.
Prepare detailed reports on control effectiveness for management and stakeholders.
Track remediation progress and report on control maturity improvements
Support audit activities by providing evidence and documentation as required
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Privacy, Data, Platform, and AI teams to understand existing control requirements
Support control testing activities and risk assessment sessions
Coordinate with internal audit, compliance, and risk management teams
Provide input on control policies and procedures based on testing results
Continuous Improvement
Research industry best practices and regulatory requirements across assigned domains
Recommend control framework improvements based on testing results
Support the testing of new controls and governance processes
Contribute to control testing methodology enhancements

Essential:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Privacy, or related field
2+ years of experience in control monitoring or testing
Knowledge of privacy requirements and controls
Experience with control monitoring tools
Understanding of control testing methodologies
Strong stakeholder engagement and able to influence
Desirable:
CIPP or similar privacy certification
Experience in privacy control monitoring
Familiarity with control frameworks
Knowledge of privacy regulations
