Job Description
ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.
The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated Cost Controller to share their expertise within our growing finance team. In this role, you will ensure accurate reporting of project costs and monitor budgets against deliverables relating to staffing. You will prepare financial reports to support project budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project costs, forecasts, and Risks and Opportunities (R&O).
- Assess forecast assumptions, contingency allowances, and identify emerging trends and issues.
- Prepare internal cost transfers and monthly accruals.
- Present monthly project cost performance to internal management.
- Provide budget variance explanations and drive actions to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities, ensuring alignment with our renewable energy goals.
- Foster collaborative behaviors with budget owners to challenge budgets and forecasts, driving improvements in financial outcomes.
- Support the Finance department and the wider project team in meeting reporting deadlines.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Preferred experience in Infrastructure Projects.
- 5-7 years of prior project cost control experience.
- Relevant qualifications in a related discipline, combined with fundamental subject matter knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and multitask effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
