What’s the role?
As a Credit Assessor, you will support the mortgage application process for applications received from our Third-Party Broker Network, handling both simple and complex cases, such as PAYG, LMI, Construction, Guarantor, Home Guarantee Scheme and more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing applications for accuracy and compliance with quality standards
- Assessing creditworthiness and serviceability while adhering to lending regulations
- Referring applications beyond credit guidelines to managers
- Building strong relationships with brokers by providing guidance and maintaining trust
- Ensuring audit, compliance, and quality standards are met to minimize risk
- Offering advice on application structuring, credit policy, and documentation.
What do I need?
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise, consult and advise internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Finance/banking background desirable
