We’re looking for a strategic and customer-focused insights professional to join our team on a 12-month contract, based in the Sydney CBD. In this role, you’ll lead customer research initiatives that uncover needs, aspirations and behaviours—translating insights into actionable strategies that drive Stockland’s Customer Strategy and enhance customer centricity across the business.
The Opportunity – About the role
We’re looking for a strategic and customer-focused insights professional to lead research initiatives that deepen customer understanding and drive business impact across Stockland’s Communities and Investment Management teams. In this role, you’ll design and deliver customer insights projects, uncover needs, aspirations and pain points, and translate findings into actionable strategies that enhance our Customer Strategy. You’ll also play a key role in embedding data-led decision making and strengthening customer centricity across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead customer insights projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Translate research into clear, actionable recommendations that support strategic planning
- Develop and embed analytical tools to support data-led decision making
- Communicate customer trends and insights to influence innovation and business strategy
- Manage Stockland’s Trend Watching program to identify and share emerging customer behaviours
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and operational risk standards
- Foster strategic partnerships to enhance customer centricity
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, psychology, business, or property management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing or research (client or agency side)
- Skilled in survey design, qualitative moderation, and managing CX/brand health monitors
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and attention to detail
- Passionate about understanding customer needs and behaviours
- Collaborative, adaptable, and eager to learn from others
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and responsible data management
