The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing a positive customer service experience as first point of contact to Council’s customers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Actively create a welcoming and friendly environment for all visitors to the Centre with a strong focus on meeting their needs and exceeding their expectations.
- Actively promote and support the use of Centre facilities, programs and services to all visitors as a means of enhancing their enjoyment and satisfaction.
- Effectively perform high-quality front-line customer service and administration functions relating to day-to-day operations of the Centre.
- Ensure that food is handled and prepared in accordance with Council’s policies and procedures and current food hygiene legislation, Codes of Practice, and safety regulation
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:
- Ensure compliance with all administration and financial procedures including collection and receipting of monies, daily cash reconciliations, cash security, facility bookings, program enrolment and registrations and visitor recording.
- Ensure compliance with Hume City Councils’ ‘Service First’ Customer Commitment Statement relevant to the service provided to meet the needs and to exceed the expectations of our customers.
- Ensure the health, safety and enjoyment of all visitors to the Centre by reporting and recording any incidents, accidents or complaints in a timely manner for appropriate action to be taken.
- Ensure compliance with all administration and financial procedures including collection and receipting of monies, daily cash reconciliations, cash security, facility bookings, program enrolment and registrations and visitor recording.
- Actively promote and communicate the facilities, programs and services available at the Centre and within Hume Leisure.
- Maintain Café and/or Kiosk hygiene in accordance with the requirements of the Health Act and other relevant regulations.
Required Certifications & Qualifications:
- Experience in front line customer service provision and administration in a similar centre or organisation with a primary focus on the promotion and sales of goods and services.
- Level 2 First Aid
- CPR certificate
