About the role
Join Avant’s New Ventures division as a Data Analyst and make a meaningful impact in shaping data-driven solutions that support medical practice administration, hospital governance, and legal services.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and contribute to innovative digital offerings designed for our clients in the healthcare sector. This role goes beyond traditional data analysis — it's a unique opportunity to apply your business intelligence, data governance and risk management expertise to support both operational and strategic goals.
As a key member of the team, you will:
- Champion the value of data.
- Translate business needs into data-driven solutions and actionable insights.
- Build and enhance analytics tools and dashboards using technologies like Power BI, SQL, and Python.
- Support and improve end-to-end data lifecycle management, including governance, quality, and protection.
- Engage with internal IT teams and vendors to implement technical solutions aligned with business and compliance standards.
- Proactively support data operations and troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Support data governance initiatives and manage data-related risks.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, protection, and security requirements.
- Maintain high standards of data and metadata integrity and quality.
- Deliver insights and recommendations that directly contribute to business outcomes.
- Contribute to maintaining best practices aligned to industry frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Practical understanding of data management framework.
- Familiarity with data protection and information security policies and standards.
- Understanding of data modelling, visualisation techniques, and data lifecycle management.
- Understanding of data classification and records management (highly regarded).
- A keen interest in data innovation and staying current with trends in AI and analytics.
- Ability to translate complex technical details into business-relevant insights.
- Proven experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
- CDMP and CIMP certification and experience will be highly regarded.
- Technical skills in tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA, and Excel macros.
