The Data and Insights Analyst is a technically hands-on role within Shared Services, responsible for delivering high-quality dashboards, data models, and actionable insights that enable operational excellence across Customer Care, Pay, and Money functions.
Reporting into the Data and Insights Manager, this role partners directly with Operational leaders and departments to understand their performance needs, build intuitive self-service Power BI solutions, and ensure accurate, scalable data structures that support better decision making.
It’s a great fit for someone with a technical mindset, working knowledge of Snowflake/PowerBI and modern data stacks, and an interest in bringing clarity and transparency to complex operational environments.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Dashboard Development & Visualisation
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards tailored to the needs of operational teams and leadership.
- Apply strong UI/UX thinking to ensure visual outputs are user-friendly, clear, and drive immediate insight.
- Ensure reports are aligned with Shared Services rhythms (e.g. daily flash, monthly forums, exception tracking).
Data Modelling & Architecture
- Develop and maintain semantic models and data layers in Power BI and Snowflake to support scalable reporting.
- Optimise data pipelines, joins, and transformations for performance, reusability, and consistency across reporting assets.
- Collaborate with BI/Engineering teams to ensure alignment of enterprise data structures where needed.
Operational Partnering
- Work directly with Ops leaders and department heads to define reporting needs, performance metrics, and KPIs.
- Support deep dives and ad hoc investigations with clear analysis and recommendations.
- Contribute to performance reviews, optimisation workstreams, and change initiatives by bringing a data-driven lens.
Data Quality & Governance
- Ensure accuracy and trust in all data products delivered through robust validation, documentation, and testing.
- Maintain clear documentation for data models, business rules, and data sources to support transparency and continuity.
- Proactively identify opportunities to reduce data duplication or manual reporting effort across the business.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, BI development, or analytics engineering roles.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling best practices.
- Solid technical skills in Snowflake, SQL, and experience working within cloud data environments.
- Ability to partner with non-technical stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, delivery-oriented mindset.
- Experience supporting Contact Centres, Workforce Management, BPO, or operational performance environments.
- Exposure to data lifecycle tooling (e.g. DBT, Git, JIRA, Confluence).
- Familiarity with automation tools or scripting languages (e.g. Python, Power Automate).
- Understanding of data governance, access control, and lineage documentation practices.
