Job Description


This is a senior academic leadership opportunity to shape the future of higher education and VET at one of Australia’s most dynamic and student-focused education providers. As Dean, you will play a pivotal role in driving academic excellence, innovation, and compliance across a diverse portfolio of programs.

The Role

As Dean, you will provide strategic and academic leadership across a portfolio of higher education and VET programs. Reporting to the Provost, you will ensure that our programs are academically rigorous, compliant with TEQSA and ASQA standards, and aligned with industry and student needs.

You will lead a team of academic staff and Heads of Department and Course coordinators, driving excellence in teaching and learning, scholarship, program innovation, and continuous quality improvement. A key part of the role will be fostering partnerships with industry, government, and professional bodies, ensuring our graduates are equipped with skills and knowledge that position them for success.

This is a highly visible leadership role where your academic expertise and strategic vision will make a real difference to students, staff, and the communities we serve.


Qualifications


About You

We are seeking an accomplished leader with:

  • A strong academic leadership background at Academic Level D/E
  • Significant leadership experience in higher education and VET
  • A track record of innovation in teaching, learning, scholarship, and curriculum design
  • Excellent knowledge of course development, academic governance, compliance, and quality assurance (TEQSA, ASQA)
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop academic teams
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including engagement with industry and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of ESOS requirements.
