Dental Assistant / Receptionist – Marvel Orthodontics (Gordon & Hurstville)

We are looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant / Receptionist who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working in a dynamic team environment.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and adaptable, with a strong ability to multitask between clinical and administrative duties. This role is vital to ensuring a smooth patient journey and a well-run practice.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assistance
- Assist the orthodontist with procedures, including setting up instruments and materials.
- Ensure patients are comfortable before, during, and after their treatment.
- Maintain high infection control standards, including sterilisation of instruments and keeping treatment rooms clean and stocked.
- Provide post-treatment instructions and reinforce oral hygiene practices.
- Take clinical photos, X-rays, and digital scans as required.
Reception & Front Desk Management
- Welcome and check in patients, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and follow-up reminders.
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient enquiries via phone and email.
- Process payments, health fund claims, and financial paperwork.
- Maintain a tidy and organised reception area.
Patient Experience & Engagement
- Ensure every patient has a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
- Address patient concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Educate patients on orthodontic treatment options and answer basic treatment-related questions.
- Assist with patient follow-ups, appointment reminders, and recall systems.
Practice Operations & Team Support
- Assist with stock control and ordering of clinical and office supplies.
- Support the team with administrative and operational tasks as required.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety and dental regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the orthodontic team to ensure smooth practice operations.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
