The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is seeking a skilled and motivated Department Liaison Officer (DLO) to foster collaboration between the department and the Minister's offices. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on managing complex challenges, delivering strategic outcomes, and contributing to priority areas such as environmental sustainability and climate action.
As the DLO, you'll act as the vital link between DEECA and Ministerial offices, ensuring seamless communication and providing advice on complex issues. You will manage requests and oversee critical government processes, including parliamentary business, Cabinet submissions, and legislative matters.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification(s) would be highly regarded.
- A sound knowledge of government (including policy development), an understanding of Parliamentary processes and the role of the VPS in supporting the government
- A demonstrated record of achievement in building and managing successful relationships with key stakeholders to provide pragmatic solutions to complex problems, within tight timeframes.
This is a fixed term position available until November 2026. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
