About the Role
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Engine Rebuilders to join our team, specialising in the rebuild and overhaul of Caterpillar C Series, 3400/3500 series engines, Cummins QSK and Detroit or similar Engines.
In this hands-on workshop position, you will be responsible for complete strip-down, inspection, rebuild, and review of test results for heavy diesel engines. You will also be responsible for the ongoing development and upskilling of maintainers working alongside on these engines. Working within a dedicated rebuild team, you will play a key role in ensuring components are rebuilt to OEM standards, delivering quality and reliability for our customers in the mining, construction, and transport sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Strip, clean, inspect, and rebuild Caterpillar engines to specification.
- Assess engine condition prior to rebuild and ensure required parts and reclamation have been identified accordingly.
- Operate with a high focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Use precision measuring tools and follow OEM technical data.
- Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet turnaround targets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in rebuild processes.
- Detailed service reports.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience rebuilding Caterpillar C Series / 3200 Series or similar off- highway truck heavy diesel engines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or equivalent) preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
