Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have demonstrated experience providing support to participants with highly complex needs and possess the following skills and characteristics:
- Understand Behaviour Support Plan and understanding of restrictive practice policies
- Experience with complex mental health participants, including those with intellectual disabilities, ASD, and OCD
- Ability to engage in activities like mall outings and shopping and build rapport with independent, outgoing clients
- Skills in managing mental health respectfully, handling anxiety in public places, and adapting plans to client needs
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends
- Own vehicle and driver's licence
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Care or similar qualification
- Current first aid certificate
- NDIS Worker Check
- Current Police Check (acquired in the past 6 months)
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Orientation Module
