Role Overview:
We are seeking both male and female Disability Support Workers with proven experience in supporting clients with community access and working with mental health conditions. You will play a key role in helping clients engage with their communities, participate in activities, and maintain their mental and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients in accessing community activities, appointments, education, or recreational programs.
- Provide compassionate and understanding support to individuals living with mental health conditions.
- Encourage and promote client independence while ensuring safety and well-being.
- Assist with daily living tasks where required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of support provided.
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in community access support and working with people with mental health conditions.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or Mental Health, or equivalent (preferred).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 24 per week
