THE ROLE
Duty Managers will provide leadership and supervision to assigned teams while overseeing daily operations, ensuring staff productivity, monitoring process compliance and creating a positive and safe work environment for all employees and patrons visiting the facility.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our aquatic facilities are actively supervised in a professional, respectful and caring manner in line with YMCA SA values. As a Duty Manager, you will:
- Lead and supervise staff to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient daily operations.
- Actively monitor aquatic areas and ensure aquatic ratios are in adherence to the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations.
- Coordinate lifeguard rotations, conduct pool and facility checks, and respond to incidents and emergencies in line with procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service, resolving enquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Open and close the facility, complete reporting, cash handling, and general administration tasks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all patrons and staff.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:
- National Police Check (issued in the last 6 months)
- DHS Working With Children Check
- International Criminal History Record Check (if worked overseas in the last 5 years)
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or equivalent.
- HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent.
- SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard or equivalent.
- SISSS00131 Aquatic Technical Operator or equivalent.
