About the role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager at SME Powered Services, this full-time Electrical Engineering Technician / Co-Ordinator role is based both in our Port Melbourne office & our project sites. You will play a key part in the operations of our electrical engineering division, contributing to the successful delivery of projects for our clients across a range of industries.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting with the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems and infrastructure
- Providing technical support and advice to project teams and clients
- Coordinating the work of electrical contractors and technicians to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required standards
- Undertaking Testing and Commissioning of electrical systems
- Documenting and maintaining records of all electrical work undertaken
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our electrical engineering processes and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical safety regulations and standards
What we're looking for
- Experience with testing, commissioning and calibration for electrical equipment & installations.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and industry regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach to work
- A valid driver's license
