Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and maintain effective Mines Rescue Emergency Response operations, including team preparation, training, and response capability whilst maintaining personal ERT competencies to required Mine standards.
- Oversee site Medical Response services, including management of medical team preparation, training, and response capabilities, whilst providing ESO shift coverage when needed.
- Coordinate comprehensive health monitoring programmes, including Coal Board Medicals, ResHealth management, and hygiene monitoring, ensuring compliance with RSHQ requirements.
- Manage injury cases and return-to-work processes, including medical centre presentations, suitable duties plans, and liaison with stakeholders (Work Cover, AMAs, supervisors).
- Oversee medical and emergency equipment maintenance, consumables management, and implementation of site health programmes (vaccinations, skin checks, physiotherapy services).
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, including safety reports, incident summaries, and prescribed disease notifications whilst participating in Field Leadership activities.
- Provide guidance to Paramedics and ESOs, whilst supporting SAC operations and coverage as required.
Qualifications
- Current Rescue Boal Board Medical without restrictions
- Light and Heavy Rigid Vehicle Site Licence and current relevant State Driver's Licence
- Compliance with signed Confidentiality Statement
- Maintain qualification for Drug and Alcohol Testing
- Certificate III Emergency Response and Rescue
- Workplace Rehabilitation and Coordination Qualifications.
