Environmental Scientist/Engineer - Contaminated Land - Sydney NSW

Inviting bright minds
An opportunity exists for an Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our Site Solutions team working across all aspects of contaminated land management. The role will be based primarily in Sydney but will support our broader Australian teams across NSW, WA and beyond.
As a member of a national team we will provide you with valuable experience working on a range of legacy industrial, fuel infrastructure, residential development and commercial sites.
About you
As part of Ramboll you will work with a group of experienced consultants in our Environment and Health team. You will receive mentoring and support from senior staff and have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex and interesting projects.

Qualifications
We will support your continued personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, your starting points are:
2+ years of professional experience in contaminated land management or a closely related field.
Degree in environmental science or engineering related discipline
Full drivers’ licence
Ability to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently.
Willingness to work independently with minimal supervision.
Dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of our valued clients.
Willingness to undertake field work with regular travel within NSW and interstate
About the Position
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
Site and field based environmental data acquisition in Sydney, regional NSW and occasionally elsewhere in Australia
Measurement, maintenance and calibration of equipment for surface water, groundwater, soil, sediment, soil vapour, noise, air quality and meteorology
Contribution to the preparation of contaminated land assessment reports
Management of large data sources, including documenting data, recording observations and use of database and digitilisation tools
Developing a network with Ramboll specialists across Australia.
