We're looking for a creative and hands-on Event Manager to join the high-energy team at Sydney’s most iconic harbour-side venue! With over 10,000 sqm of potential event space, unbeatable views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge & Opera House, Luna Park Sydney offers one of the world’s rarest in-tact art-deco amusement parks as the canvas for your creative and unique ideas. Description: In this role, you will be responsible for:
Planning and executing a diverse range of corporate client events and park-owned events (Halloscream, Luna Park in the Dark & New Year’s Eve Harbour Party)
Leading and developing a high performing team of event specialists
Conducting site inspections and maintaining event booking software (USI)
Collaborating with colleagues in Operations and Sales to ensure the success of our events
Attending events and oversee the production requirements of the client and our service
Working closely with and provide operational support and mentoring to the events team
Preparing and managing event documentation – event orders, invoices etc
Managing event financials to ensure accuracy of charges and correct revenue allocation
Participating in management of contract queries and costings
This role will suit an individual who loves the excitement of a busy team and multi-purpose venue. You must be confident to work autonomously but enjoy being part of a fun, passionate team. Being able to manage stakeholders professionally and efficiently whist maintaining excellent long-term relationships is essential. The most important thing is you must be always seeking to seize opportunities to surpass guest expectations and enhance guest experience from the very first moment of contact.
Skills and Experiences: To be a successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience working with a variety of clientele in an Event Manager capacity
Experience in venue hire contracts and event operational requirements
Relevant qualifications in Event Management
Experience leading, developing and motivating a team of dedicated professionals
Ability to negotiate persuasively maintaining credibility and professionalism
Actively collaborate with all internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of growth, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Understanding of the latest food and beverage trends.
Experience working in entertainment / stage production, corporate event settings and outdoor festivals is advantageous.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when required - must be available to work on New Years Eve.
