About the role
Essential Energy is seeking a highly capable and proactive Executive Assistant to provide high-level professional, executive, administrative, and operational support to a member of our Executive Leadership Team. This pivotal role will ensure the smooth execution of strategic business objectives and contributes directly to the commercial success of the organisation.
As an Executive Assistant, you will manage a wide range of complex and confidential tasks, including reporting, governance, and analytical functions. You will be a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, supporting executive effectiveness and driving continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive operational support and act as a key contact for internal and external business matters.
- Prepare high-quality reports, board papers, and executive documents with a strong focus on confidentiality and accuracy.
- Develop and manage tools to enhance efficiency and monitor asset effectiveness.
- Maintain and manage databases to support operational oversight, including budget control and reconciliation.
- Coordinate and track special projects aligned with organisational goals, ensuring timely completion.
- Proactively manage business unit activities and implement process improvements.
- Manage executive schedules, travel, meetings, and events, including hosting corporate visitors.
- Lead the review and implementation of administrative procedures and policies. Communicate and coordinate administrative services across senior leadership with professionalism and discretion.
This role will be based in Port Macquarie with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.

About your skills
- Extensive experience in a similar role within a large, complex organisation.
- Advanced knowledge of executive office administration and business protocols.
- Proven ability to deliver high-level support and strategic advice to senior management.
- Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills for supporting other administrative staff.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills. High-level proficiency in business systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma in Business, Human Resources, or Management, or equivalent experience.
Desired experience
