Job Description
Epworth Geelong is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join the Allied Health team on a casual basis.
Work within the comprehensive, multidisciplinary team at Epworth Geelong who provide care to patients in the Outpatient Department on referral from acute medical wards at Epworth Geelong, the Emergency Department, the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and from General Practitioners.
This casual employment opportunity will provide care to a wide range of clinical cohorts including orthopaedic, medical, oncology, cardiac, respiratory, pain, neurological, concussion, trauma and reconditioning. The successful casual exercise physiologist will work predominantly within the outpatient gym space delivering group and 1:1 care to patients both on land and in hydrotherapy.
You will perform a pivotal role in the delivery of continuity of care to patients at Epworth Geelong, with a focus on optimising clinical outcomes and enabling patients to transition with confidence to the community environment. You will be responsible for provision of a thorough ISOBAR clinical handover back to the routine treating therapist and participation in case conferences as required.
You will make an impact by:
- Demonstrating exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Communicating clearly around availability
- Delivering efficient, high quality clinical care and exceptional patient outcomes
- Demonstrated confidence sharing knowledge and delivering care in both a group and 1:1 environment
- Delivering evidence-based intervention to manage the holistic clinical presentation
- Provision of a clear handover back to the treating clinician

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Science) or equivalent Post Graduate Qualification (Exercise Rehabilitation Science)
- Eligible for Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) accreditation
